Veteran's Day

Today my students, along with the rest of the 2nd grade, honored our Veterans with our annual musical. It was a great way to spend the morning. Normally during the program I am focused on helping the kiddos do their best, and the emotions of our program take a back seat. That was not the case during today's performance. Everything from the colors being presented, to the kids singing God Bless America, to their standing at attention and saluting during the playing of Taps just moved me to tears. I was just overwhelmed with gratitude for every Veteran who has fought for my freedom, and beyond proud to be an American! I hope you did something today to say thanks or honor a Veteran.
