Since November I have had a huge change in my eating habits... I ate so much junk and fast food that I was literally, in my opinion, committing a slow, drawn out suicide. It feels so good to be 10 months out from the start of this whole journey and say that I am still living a new healthy lifestyle.
One of the things that has helped me the most is found a website called www.livestrong.com Most all of you have heard that phrase from Lance Armstrong. This is his website, dedicated to health and fitness...
On the site, which is a free membership, you can keep track of your daily eating habits and exercise. It is pretty much just an online food journal and honestly there are dozens of them on the web. I like this one because it so user friendly.
As I was looking through the site today, I found this tab that allows you to look at your most frequently eaten foods. I was so thrilled to see this list... Of course it is not all full of produce and whole grains... There are a few McDonald's Ice Creams and Chocolate Milk (The Ch. Milk is what I drink after a run to get some carbs in me fast.) But none the less, the list as a whole is AWESOME compared to what I was eating just a short year ago. The list last year would have said Fries, Fries, Burger, Fries, Pizza, Fries, Tater Tots, Fries, Pecan Pie.... I wonder how in the world I survived?

Side note: McDonald's Ice Cream is in the top 10, but look at it... Just 150 calories, 3.5g of fat, 24 carbs, and 18 sugars... It could be a lot worse!!!
