He Did it Just For Me

About 6 years ago, my Sunday School class went on a retreat to Gatlinburg over Christmas break. Our teacher, Sherry Vaughn insisted that we begin each day with a devotion....At that time I was fresh out of college from North Greenville, and quite honestly I was "devotioned" out....At North Greenville....every meeting, class chapel, date, etc....started with devotion....Don't get me wrong all you "churchy" folks out there....I LOVE JESUS, but sometime religious activity can be become just routine and meaningless fodder done just to appease our "maybe I can be good enough" mentality.......Anyway, that is another blog..........Well, we agreed to hear Sherry's devotions, and I am SO glad we did.....She shared from a Max Lucado book, I don't remember the title cause it was early when she was talking and I wasn't being the best listener.....But at the end of the devotion, with tears in her eyes she read this......."The next time you see a brilliant sun rise or a starry filled sky, the next time you see a vivid rainbow or the vast ocean wide.....Remember I did it just for you." The I in that of course being God.That thought has not left my mind since that day...Every time I see God's handy work I am reminded....This morning as I was riding in to work I was reminded of that thought as I saw the amazing sun rise.......Ain't He just GOOD!!!!! Why would he bless ME with such a beautiful sight?????...The purple and pink seemed to mix in a way only the artist of the universe could paint......I was moved to write this this morning as soon as I got here in hopes that something beautiful the Lord did would pass by you today and that you would be reminded that He did it just for you!!!!!!
