24 and Chicken Chili

Last night Kim and Michael Lord (click on the link to visit their "Lordsong" website) invited Matt and I over for the first meeting of the disciples of 24. Sterling...YOU WERE MISSED!!!!) We met in honor of our favorite show 24 which comes on fox at 9:00 on Monday nights. It is thee best show.....Last night however the show suffered from what I call "Slow as Christmas" syndrome.....Honestly it was the first time I have walked away from the show disappointed...They wasted WAY too much time on Karen Hayes... I mean she already was a Pain last year and now she is slowing up the show this year.....Not to mention that Jack Bauer's dumb brother is now the cause of the nukes going off in L.A. I mean seriously can we have some real drama.......For those of you who watch the show I am curious if you experienced the same boredom that I did last night.....Next week somebody better really get it..At least show us what is going on around the bomb site....and where in the world is Audrey Raines...Did she fall off the planet???...

The highlight of my evening with Kim and Michael was supposed to be watching 24 and us yelling at the T.V. but the real fun was eating Kim's chicken chili...Albert, Michael's dad, said to stop at McDonald's on the way because I wouldn't like it...After I tasted how good it was I realized he just wanted more for himself......It was really good....Now that it's over I can confess that I normally don't like chili, but it was fantastic...The monkey bread dessert was awesome too...I look forward to the next time we can hang out...Kim and Michael are just fun people to be around.......They are definitely on my "people I really like list".......Tomorrow I am planning on discussing the beautiful melodies I hear tonight on American Idol....I saw the previews last night and can hardly wait to see "Big Bird"
