1. It is a great place to relax... The atmosphere is not high-paced or in a hurry... Just sit and enjoy the meal.
2. The workers are some of the friendliest, kindest people. They really know a lot about customer service. They smile and welcome every one who walks in the door, regardless of who it is... and they give you anything you need, and are happy to do it. I know a few other restaurants that could learn a thing or two from the W.F.
3. It takes me back to my college days... I had some absolutely great nights studying... ok... talking and being silly and a little bit of studying... I miss those times.
4. It's a great place to be when it snows. Almost every time it snows I meet my mom there to eat so we can watch it through their big windows... We didn't go this last time... Hopefully we will get some more.

You can always count on the Food tasting the same at any of them anywhere. I usually have Hamburger Steak and Eggs with the Hash Browns Covered.Great Service.
Heck yeah! I love a good "awful waffle" but it's not really awful. And a coffee. Hmmm...Invite me next time!
What the heck does "covered and chunked" mean???? I wish I could go to the waffle house.
I always get a small hashbrown - scattered, smothered, covered, chunked and well done. And, I get a waffle, although I never can eat it all. -LLR
Teri, to answer your question about Waffle House hashbrown lingo, covered and chunked means with cheese and ham.
I spent many of studyless night at WH in TR! I always ended up having to go back to my room and stay up the rest of the night to actually study. I don't miss those days!
I love the waffle house as well,I always get a texas cheese steak and plain hashbrowns, my hubby always gets the eggs ,bacon and plain hash browns,and toast.but it's the coffee and OJ we go for.and I hate to say this but it's the only place you can eat and then still have a cigg with your coffee.We have been known to go at 2 am or 10 am or 8 pm LOL

I love the waffle house but have never actually ordered or eaten a waffle there. Silly I know but I have a warm place in my heart for the big yellow sign with simple black letters. The first weekend after I had my "for real" drivers license I pulled out of the driveway on a Saturday night after dark and didn't know where to go. I went back home got my little brother and treated us both to a Patti Melt plate../w hash browns scattered and smothered. Fond fond memories of the waffle house.
