I don't think either of us thought that we would have found a lifelong friend on that trip, but we did. It amazes me every time I call her or she calls me that we have remained friends all this time from such a long distance apart. She is now married with 2 kids, so we have literally grown up together from 2,000 miles apart.

I encourage you all to have a long distance friend like Teri. It is so great to call her when I have a problem because she can always have an outsiders point of view. She is a great listener, and she always seems to be on my side no matter what.
Hopefully she, her husband, and friend Julie are coming out to see me next summer. I hope so!
I sent her a special gift for her birthday. I hope she likes it. I tried to be thoughtful.
