I am excited... about meeting the new kids and about learning how to teach a new grade.... It is not a huge jump, but 2nd graders can do so much more than what I am used to with 1st graders...
I am nervous... about effectively meeting all of the needs that will come into my class... Teaching is a HUGE responsibility... I want to take every opportunity to help that I can...
I am tired... It has been a long few weeks getting ready for this day.... Non teachers will NEVER understand what we go through... Maybe next year I will invite some of you to hang out and see all that goes on to get the room ready.
I am honored... like I said, Teaching is a HUGE responsibility... It is a privilege to get to do it!
I am thankful... to have a job, to be back in a classroom, to work at a great school, to have GREAT coworkers, to have a great principal and assistant principal, to have great secretaries, to have great cafeteria ladies, to have great custodians, to have great EVERYTHING!!!!
Now for the last emotion....
I am anxious.......... 179 Days to go!!!!!!! :0)

Instead of 179, you need to start counting down to the Fridays. It comes more often and something to look forward to quicker. I think I would just sit around and dread the next 179. Glad you teachers are a different bird.
You're too funny(only 179 days to go)! It's going to go great for you! Do you have any of the kids that you taught in 1st grade?
Can't believe that I am actually leaving a comment but I hope you had a great first day of school.
So how did those first couple of days go? Toledo doesn't start til next week. Although, parochial schools started this week. Wisconsin starts after Labor day. (I'm originally from WI) :)
