Here I am typing a blog at 6:58 am....... Why you ask??? Because for the 10th day in a row the beloved woodpecker has decided to make mi casa his casa..... AAAAAAAAAAAAA......
Have you ever had one of these things peck on your house???? It sounds like a machine gun.....
I have seen him twice as I go to open the back door and make noise to get him to fly away...but every morning here he comes pecking again and again.....
What do I do???? I googled it, but the ideas they had were a bit extreme... putting mirrors on your roof, mounting a fake hawk to your roof...etc... I know it is against the law to kill the woodpecker.....wonder if i could skim him/her with a BB gun??? (its gotta be a girl bird.... only a girl could consistently aggravate me like this bird... JOKE!!!)
I hear they can damage your house pretty badly too... Thank goodness I wont have to deal with it for the next 25 days... I cannot believe we leave tomorrow... Pray that while we are gone the birdies finds a new home...or some new wood to peck besides my roof!!!!!!!!!

wow jed...that same bird woke me up last week pecking on my house. i was not sure exactly what it was...it scared me a little. you may want to try to get rid of it before you leave or you could end up with a hole in your house when you get back. Angie

Well, this answers your question on your previous blog, they fly. They fly up on your house and, in this case, peck the heck out of it!! I know that has to be so annoying.
Safe travel, Jed and, hopefully Woody, it has to be a boy to be so annoying,(not a joke), will find somewhere else to peck.
