Day 8: Page, AZ to Las Vegas via St. George, Utah

Today was a great day. We left Page early this morning and drove through Zion National Park on our way to St. George to have lunch with my friend Teri. I met Teri on a band trip to Europe 14 years ago. I haven't seen her in 12 years! After a great lunch we drove to Las Vegas where we will spend the next three days. Our hotel is amazing but they charge $13.00 per day for Internet. Since gas is $14,000.00 a gallon the blog will be silent for a few days. Those of you who have my cell number feel free to call if you miss me too bad. Watch for a Vegas update on Tuesday when we return to St. George.

I'm sure there's a Starbucks or McDonald's on the strip that offers free wifi. I know there's a Starbucks in TI. Don't keep your faithful readers waiting, especially since you're in sin city!!!

I have enjoyed reading your blog each day. It sounds like you're having a blast! I'm sitting here now checking e-mail and paying bills with the ladies from The View and thinking of you--weird, right?! Actually, they are live in Las Vegas this week. Maybe you'll run into Whoopi! Be safe.

Hey Huck- If you and Tom find a chip on the casino floor, play it and win a gazillion dollars (I Love Lucy), don't take it back..., SHARE!!

Is Las Vegas the city that never sleeps or the city of lights? I can't remember. Anyway, have a great time.

Sending you lots of love and many prayers for a safe trip.

Love ya lots-
Megie

Sounds like you guys are having a blast! It's been . . . well . . . almost 10 years since I've been out west! My aunt used to live in Albuquerque -- the tram is AWESOME! (though I was only about 8 or 9 when we went there the first time -- it's cheaper when you're younger) If I would have been on here sooner, I would have recommended Bandelier NP -- they have more of those cave dwellings. They told us there that the Indians bored holes into the side of the cliff to put pegs or ladders in it to climb up. We even got to go in one! The IA pass is definately the way to go! Have fun in Vegas!
