Praise the Lord

That is all I can say about the past few days..Praise the Lord I am safe...Praise the Lord I am home in Cebu...Praise the Lord for phone and Internet....and just for old times sake..Praise the Lord for Chili's... Let me just tell you all that has happened....

After my wonderful lunch at Chili's on Monday we headed to the airport.... It had been raining very heavily during the day.... We were just praying that the weather would clear before our flight..... It did...but it didn't stay that way.... As we were boarding it really started to pour the rain... I mean cats, dogs, goats, pigs, you name it...it was falling...... To make matters worse it started thundering and lightning... I was just praying they would say we were gonna ride out the storm on the ground, but nope.... here we went...

As we taxied down and took off... you could immediately tell it was gonna be a long flight... but the confident captain said it will be a little bumpy to start and then we will be out of the mess... WRONG!!! It was bumpy the whole way... One time we dropped pretty quickly and Saralee grabbed my hand across the aisle... We were laughing but we were all pretty scared....

Thankfully the flight was only about 45 minutes...but the landing itself was kinda scary too... Instead of landing straight like normal, we kinda came in sideways a bit..... Even so...the ground had never looked so sweet!!!!

I was so glad to be home and call some family..... then I picked up our vonage phone...it was dead.... no phone... no Internet..... apparently it had disconnected itself while we were gone.... That was Monday evening....now its Wednesday evening..... and thankfully the phone and net are working again...........

Maybe tomorrow I will be settled enough from my excitement to share some of the pics from our trip to Manila.... It was a blast.... I had a great time getting to know the band more... we had some....interesting experiences to say the least..... and the Lord was definitely at work in the lives of the people in Olongapo... 'Til Tomorrow!!!

I'm sure it wasn't a 747 you were on. God seems to continue to be good no matter how we seem to drift. Glad ya'll are home asnd the trip was successful.

Welcome back! Looking forward to the Manila pictures. We went today to get what we need to Skype, except the camera. Ronnie says he'll get that later. I'll get to Skype him while he is in Mexico next week and hopefully I'll be hooking up to you guys. I thought about you today. We bought all of Meredith's school supplies. As a matter of fact.., she's sitting in the floor making labels and organizing her bookbag. She is her Mother's child! She also had her first soccer practice of the fall season this afternoon. Man.., was it hot!! By the way.., Justin is having Lasik surgery tomorrow afternoon. Pray that all will go well. He's excited! Gotta run.., we're going swimming!!

Love and prayers-
Megie
