Operation Christmas Child

I love Operation Christmas Child.....This morning I have been working on the year long shopping list that I promised for our Sunday School class and it just made me think about the power and awesomeness of such a little box. It is just amazing how such a little box could do so much......As I typed the list of what to buy for each month I just began to get excited about filling the boxes and working at the packing plant next year. The packing plant was amazing this year when I got go....To see all of those boxes and just imagine the little hands that would open them and fill the love overflow from inside.....These boxes are just the coolest thing......For those of you who don't know, I am actually gonna get to go to the Philippines in just 40 days to deliver some of the boxes from this year......I can hardly wait... For years I have seen the videos of workers passing out the boxes and now the Lord has blessed me with opportunity to go.....You all think I am excited now..just wait til I get back....Over the next forty days....Please pray for me and our team...Matt Johnson, Sherry and Steve Vaughn, and a church in Alabama....Forgive me for not knowing the name...When you pray God will know...Specifically pray for these things.....
1. Jesus would be glorified in our trip
2. Safety as we travel
3. Funding for the trip
4. Our excitement about OCC would spread like wild fire!!!
Also for those of you who may be interested in helping with our trip financially My friends Joye Hall and Julie Stribling are putting on a hot dog supper/ silent auction on the 26th of this month...All of the proceeds are going to help cover our expenses......
