Happy Halloween

What a great weekend of fun with my family. It all started on Friday night with the the 1st of many family bonfires. Here is a great shot of the whole group. Thanks to Marshall and Lynlie for a great night of fun!

On Saturday I got all dressed up as Buddy the Elf for Trunk or Treat at church, and much to my surprise I won the first ever costume contest! Merry Christmas!

Tonight I was able to give out candy to all the trick-or-treaters at my house for the first time ever. I am usually busy on Halloween night, but this year I got to be at home. 2 of the cutest candy givers ever came by to help me. They had more fun giving candy than they did going to get it. We had about 40 or so kids come by. We had a blast!

Silly Saturday 9

Here are some things that made me laugh this week.

1. During indoor recess some kids were playing in my dress up center. I heard a boy's voice shout..."Hey, gimme that old lady wig!"

2. At recess this week one of the teacher's had to call down one of her kids. When he came over to her, he said, "I have 6 words for you... I did not start it!" Go back and count... you'll get why that was funny!

3. I was in the office during my planning, a kid walked in and announced that he was getting a Hannah Montana wig for his birthday so he could sing like a rock star!

4. Yesterday during a Halloween discussion, someone asked what a mummy was. A student replied, "It's just a dead guy wrapped up in toilet paper.

Happy Saturday!

After you look drop me a line and let me know which ones you think I should get. Pick 2. Just tell me what number photo. When click on the photo the number shows up in yellow on the bottom.
Thanks for your help!

Don't Miss The Moment

I am still riding high after my race Sunday. It will definitely go down as 1 of the top 10 days in my life so far. Finishing a race like that is so exhilarating, especially when you are breaking your own personal records on every mile.

For me though, NONE of this started in an effort to be fast. It all started because I wanted to be healthy. Over a year ago when the blood work came back bad, I knew I had to change my life. I knew it could not just be about food, but about a new mind, body, and spirit.

At the beginning of the race all of the fears, battles, pains, and worry I had carried around over the last year of this transformation came together and my emotions and tears flowed out.

It began when I was walking to the starting line and I heard a little 4 year old girl yelling, "Go mommy Go, Go mommy Go." It was such a sweet, innocent, heart felt sound. The tears crept to the corners of my eyes, but did not roll out.

As I stood there waiting to start my own run, the group of wheelchair racers began. I was so inspired...the tears sneaked out of the corners and made my eyes good and moist.

When they sounded the gun to begin the race, the tears all of sudden started to flow...My time to run this thing was finally here.. Was I really doing this I thought.

As I got to about 1.75 miles I was at the top of a tall bridge looking toward the ocean with the sun rising over the water when the song You Are Good, by Kari Jobe came on my iPod. It was the only slow song I put on my playlist because it is my favorite! I am so glad I put that one on there. The Lord in His sovereignty made it play at that moment. It was a moment I will never forget. I was so overwhelmed with His goodness, His grace, His mercy, His strength, His faithfulness, His enduring and never ending love. Needless to say I was at this moment, I became a mess!!! The Lord met me right there on that bridge, in the middle of my run, and it was AMAZING!

As I came down the bridge to mile 2 there was my mom, my sister, my brother-in-law, and roommate screaming and cheering me on. The tears continued to flow. The last year would not have been possible without them. I was so proud to have them there with me!!!

Once I moved past them, I had a talk with myself, got focused, stopped the crying, and ran like Forrest!!!!

As I shared this story with a very wise friend of mine, he asked me..."Aren't you glad you were not so wrapped in the run and race, that you did not miss that moment?"

Without question, Yes... I was, am, and always will be glad that I did not miss that moment.

Ain't He just good!

Silly Saturday 8

Here are some things that made me laugh this week.

1. My little fashion diva student saw these shoes and asked me why I wore my bowling shoes to school?

2. At lunch a student was talking about her Halloween costume to one of her friends. She told him she was going to be a "Po Po." Her friend was VERY confused. He had no idea what a " Po Po" was. He said, you mean like a poor person?? She said, no that's a hobo. I am gonna be a Po Po. The exchange went on for 5 minutes til someone across the table screamed in frustration, IT'S A POLICEMAN!!!!

3. When my students are working, I always tell them to let me know if they don't "get" something so I can help them figure it out. This week a student came to me and said, "Mr. Dearybury, I just don't get it." I was thrilled that she asked me for my help....was it a math question, was she confused about a word???? I said, "what do you not get?" Her reply... "I don't get where all this snot comes from... I blow and blow and it comes right back!"

Furlough Friday

Well... Here it is, another Furlough Friday. This is furlough day 2 of 5 that some of us SC teachers must endure. Just like anyone who is losing money, we aren't happy about it, but we are definitely making the most of our time off!!!

Right now I know of one teacher who is having breakfast with Mickey Mouse.

I know another that is in Boone riding a bike trail through the fall foliage.

I know another who is at Oak Island in NC.

I am sure there are many who are sleeping even as I type, soaking up all the extra sleep they can get.

And of course, I am sure that there is 1 or 2 who have been up since their normal 5am wake up call and decided to get busy on some school work so that next week might not be the usual hectic routine of grading, planning, and emailing.

So, what am I doing? I am sitting in the lobby of the Hampton Inn at Myrtle Beach finishing up my "free" breakfast. I am here for my first half marathon on Sunday. I am VERY excited about it and thankful that I have this wonderful furlough day to sit around the hotel and enjoy it. I am about to head out for my last run before the race, going to pick up my race packet around 12, and then dinner with a bunch of friends I haven't seen for a while tonight. Tomorrow my family is coming in so they can be here to cheer me on in the race Sunday. Furlough Friday is the kick off to what is going to be a great weekend!

Angry Birds

Right after I bought my iPhone I downloaded the game Angry Birds per a facebook status from a friend of mine named Ginger. Little did I know that at the moment of download my life would become consumed with 7 angry birds and a bunch of "thieving" pigs.

The game is so ridiculous it is not even funny. You hurl these birds into various structures via a slingshot in hopes that you will knock the structures down and squish the mean 'ole pigs that have stolen the birds eggs. If the structures fall just right then you kill the pigs and move on to the next level. Some of the levels are very challenging because you have to hurl the birds into just the right spot. Some levels I have had to play over and over and over and over just to get every pig!

The developers of the game keep me on the hook so well. The released the last 3 levels of the game over the course of the last few months. In the mean time they encourage you to get a higher score on each level... IT IS MADNESS!!!

If you don't have this game, fall to your knees and praise the Lord that you are free from the bondage!!! If you are thinking about getting it, pray that the devil will flee!!! If you are curious and want to know a bit more about it... Watch this awesome little clip that tells the true story of the Angry Birds.

SC Gubernatorial Debate

Last night I had the privilege of attending the first of many SC Gubernatorial Debate. I called it a privilege only because it is something that most people do not get to see live and in person.

I will keep my political opinions to myself so as not to contaminate this blog. However, I will say that my second graders are able to resolve conflicts and speak with more respect to one another than I witnessed last night. That said... Here are a few pics from the evening.

Here is Mr. Tom Crabtree, a local TV celebrity, who was the moderator of the debate. He was giving us all the ground rules. "Most" people were respectful and did as he asked.

Here is a great shot of both candidates at the end of the debate. We were on the 2nd row.

Here is Amy Wood, another local TV celebrity taking pics for her blog and Facebook page. She is big into the social media. I was more excited to talk to her afterwards.

Here is a shot of Matt and I looking all official in the lobby at the end.

Got to talk to Tom for a moment. Very nice guy!!!

As you can tell from my pics, I was way more impressed with the TV personalities than either candidate. Matt did get to shake hands with Mr. Sheheen, and I saw Mrs. Haley greeting Roger Milliken just to my left on the way out, but after their performance on stage, I just wasn't all that eager to meet either one.

Dark Thirty

I LOVE this time of the year... Cool weather, fall decorations, sweaters, hot chocolate, good smelling candles, football games, festivals, Operation Christmas Child, pajama pants, bedroom shoes, preparing for Christmas...

But, one thing I do not like is leaving my house in the dark and coming home in the evenings in the dark. I feel the need to come in a go straight to bed. I don't get near the stuff done at home that I need to. The laundry seems to pile up, dust bunnies mate at an alarming rate, and many other projects just get pushed to the side all because its dark and my mind says its time to slow down.

I know that it is only gonna get worse because the days are growing even shorter, then throw in the whole "fall back" that is coming in a few weeks and it will be dark even earlier.

Yesterday morning I left the house at 6:45. It was cold and dark.

Yesterday night I got home at 7:15... It was cool and dark. I could not wait to get in and go to sleep and it was only 7ish.

I know tonight will be no different. I won't be home until late again. Guess the laundry will have to wait one more day.

More Than a Plate

Have you ever lost someone close to you? It's hard...sometimes very hard, but as time goes on you tend to get through the hard times a bit easier until it seems as if you have moved on. Then, BAM, out of no where grief rears its head, takes a hold of you, and tries its hardest to wrestle you back to the ground.

It takes a lot for me to be so transparent on here, but I had one of those BAM, out of no where moments of grief this weekend as I cooked dinner Saturday night and it all started with this plate.

It probably looks like just an ordinary plate to you, maybe even an ugly plate. I will be the first to say that I would not be buying these on my next trip to Target if they were there. These plates belonged to my great grandma Maudie. I was lucky enough to get them when she died, and I would not take a thing for them!!!!!!

If you are a faithful reader of the blog, you may remember this post. I have mentioned Maudie more than once on the blog and how much I loved her. There were many days when I was little that I just could not wait to get over to her house. It was just the best pace ever!!!

Saturday night I decided to make one of Maudie's famous dishes, Alumini Casserole, for dinner. It has been a year since I have had it due to my change in diet, so I thought it was time to treat myself to it. She would have been so proud at how it turned out. I didn't even have to look at her hand written recipe that is hanging in a matted frame in my kitchen.

I took it out of the oven to let it cool for a minute, and I turned to the cabinet to get plates. When I opened the cabinets Maudie's plates were right on top of the "plate stack." I immediately busted into tears. It was the kind of tears that just could not be contained. It was like they instantly filled my eyes, and flowed down my cheeks. All I could think about was that the last time I ate this casserole off of those plates, it was made by Maudie and served by her hands. I was overwhelmed!!!

I have made this dish many times since her passing, but this time the plates and the casserole met at the same time, and it was more than my heart could bare.

I quickly tried to get myself together before anyone came into the kitchen, but I just couldn't stop. I felt so silly because she has been gone for over 5 years... I should be past all this right?

I sat down to eat and Matt tried to talk me through it, but I just had to sit there and cry until it was all out...

Well, at least I thought it was all out... until I started typing this blog. I miss her right now. I can't wait to see her again one day.

Mini Me

Last Thursday, the K5 at our school presented their class program to our school. Each grade level at our school presents 1 time throughout the year. The program was soooo good. One of teacher's kids played me in the play and he did a fantastic job!!! He was quite the singer and dancer. He even had my hairdo!! I was so honored that such a cool and amazing little kid played me!!!

The hairdo seems to be contagious! Guess I am making an impact after all huh?

Silly Saturday 7

Here are somethings that made me laugh this week...

1. A question on the test said, "Explain how you know your answer is correct." The student wrote..."I know it is right because I am smart, I am always right, and I am 8 years old!"

2. After I gave the bonus word on the spelling test, a student knew where she could find it on the wall in the classroom but she could not see it from her seat. She sneakily went to the classroom bathroom so she could sneak a peek. I didn't say a word. I figured if she was smart enough to pretend to go to the bathroom so she could see it, then she deserved those 3 points!

3. A student told me that next week he was gonna brain wash me to like the Clemson Tigers.

4. Possibly on of the funniest things I have ever had the pleasure of overhearing at the lunch table:
Girl: My mom is gonna have a baby... I hope it's a girl so I can have a sister.
Boy: I wish my mom would have me a sister!
Girl: Is your mom pregnant?
Boy: No, she's not pregnant... I mean, she is really fat, but she ain't pregnant!

Happy Saturday!

Should I or Shouldn't I?

Remember this???

I bought it last year after Christmas on a whim when it was on sale on some costume website. Since then it has hung in my closet staring at me everyday begging to be worn...Now, I am just not sure if I can swallow my pride and do it. I will need lots of comments and encouragement to put on the yellow tights, the curly wig, and the Elf hat. Should I or shouldn't I???? The choice is yours!

On another "elfy" note; My friend Dennis called tonight to tell me that they are developing a Broadway play of the movie. You know I will be planning a trip to New York for the debut!

Magic Carpet

Last night I had the privilege of attending the Spartanburg County Junior League Mini Grants Award Ceremony for educators. I was one of many Spartanburg County educators there to receive my award. While there, the guest speaker shared a poem that I had never heard, but instantly added to my memory of things I need to memorize called "Magic Carpet," by Shel Siverstein

Magic Carpet

You have a magic carpet

that will whiz you through the air,

to Spain or Maine or Africa

if you just tell it where.

So will you let it take you

where you've never been before,

or will you buy some drapes to match

and use it on your floor?

Whatever you do today, don't waste your magic carpet by throwing it on the floor. Do something awesome for someone!

Chilean Miners

If all goes well, at the time you read this many of the miners from Chile will have been freed from their 65+ days of captivity in the caved in mine. I have been glued to this story since it first happened back on August 5th.

Every time I turn around it seems to pop in my head. When I am running I think about them. When I am laying down in a nice cozy bed... When I eat a good meal... When I see my family... I simply cannot imagine what those men have been through. Just to put the length of time they have been underground into perspective read the list below to appreciate how long 9 weeks is.

1. School started on August 16th

2. 9 weeks (about the time they have been in there) is about the length of time between now and
Christmas.

3. If you found out you were pregnant the day they were trapped, you could now hear your
baby's heart beat on an ultra sound.

4. If your baby was a newborn on Aug. 5th, they may now be rolling over.

5. That is almost 1600 hours!!!!

I cannot imagine being stuck in my nice comfortable house that long, much less trapped in a mine shaft 2 miles under ground. Their bravery, focus, and determination has surely been an example to the whole world. I cannot wait to see them pulled out of that ground!!!

Da Dentist is Da Debil

Before I get comments telling me to be thankful for dental care and that there are millions of people all around the world who would love to have clean teeth, let me say that I am very appreciative for my dentist and the hygienist that care for my teeth. That said, I like going to the dentist about as much as I like getting a big ole kick in the hind parts.

The scraping,
the pulling,
the bleeding,
the sucky thing,
the constant "open wide",
the fear of having a cavity,
the sounds of the drill in the next room...

It all just drives me nuts!!!

Yesterday I went for my 2nd cleaning of the year. All was well. No cavities thank goodness, but there was a lot of bleeding. Apparently once a week is just not enough to fool the dentist. There is no way to lie to them either so don't even try. The hygienist is like Jesus, Santa, and Your Mama...they just know when you are lying. This post is going to hold me accountable with my flossing. Feel free to email me often and make sure I am cleaning all the cracks and crevices.

New Beginnings

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking to an awesome group of 5th and 6th graders at New Beginnings UMC in Boiling Springs about Operation Christmas Child. They were a great bunch and their listening skills were fantastic. They were very interested in learning all about OCC. I know they are gonna blow their goal of 200 boxes out of the water!!!!

After I left, I could not stop thinking about the name of their church... New Beginnings. I LOVE that name. Isn't that what knowing Jesus is all about... A new beginning, a new start, clean and forgiven... Not having to walk around with all of the guilt and shame that our sin puts on us. What a relief right?

Sometimes I forget that... Don't you? Instead of allowing Him to pour grace all over us it seems that we sometimes run from it.

I can't help but think about a dog getting a bath when I write that. Dogs always seem to run away from their bath. They don't want to stay still; they shake and shimmy. The process is a down right ordeal. Once its over of course the dogs looks, feels, and smells better. The wash is good for him!

Today where ever you are when you read this, commit to start on a new beginning with what ever is weighing you down. Cast it aside and start fresh. Embrace the grace and let Him make you new. Start the week out right a great new beginning!

Weekend @ BB's

This weekend my sister and brother-in-law were out of town and Uncle BB kept the girlies!!! We have had lots of fun. I took them with me Friday night to our Fall Faculty Family Cookout. They had a great time as you can see from the pic of them in the back seat when we got home.

After getting them in the house and some how putting their pajamas on their rag doll like bodies, I blew up the air mattress that they have been begging me to sleep on since this summer at the beach. As I laid them on it, they grinned in their sleep!

Saturday we went to see Robin Hood at the Chapman Cultural Center. This was Sophie's first time there. I was a bit worried about how she would do, but she was so good!

During the play I told her that when the lights went out it was the actors way of changing the scene. When the lights came back on and the scene was changed, she said, "You're right BB, we are in the castle now." Everyone giggled at her. It was so cute!

During the play we sat beside the grandmother of one of the actors. Sophie could not stop talking about her, so we tracked her down after the show so the girls could have a pic. Too bad the girl is not looking!

After the play we headed to Bruster's as promised. Sophie was in heaven. She will eat just about anything with sugar!!!!

After church on Sunday we came home, watched The Little Rascals and Taylor and Sophie decorated my Fridge. I love it!

They are gone now, and my house is quiet again.... Can hear it????? It is my body saying thank you Jesus! It was fun and I was happy to keep them, but now I am ready to rest an hour before sleep and Monday gets here.

Silly Saturday 6

Here are some things that made me laugh this week...

1. A kid came up to me and ask me to pull his finger at recess... He then proceeded to... and of course, I had to laugh!

2. To pay for his book order from Scholastic, a boy brought in all these pennies... Guess he had been saving for a while. First time in 9 years someone has paid with all pennies. I happily accepted them all.

3. While digging in my prize box a student found a half of a plastic egg. He asked me if he could that half this week and earn the next half next week. Bless his heart... The egg had just come apart and the real prize was supposed to be inside.

4. This week my students wrote their own version of the Eric Carle book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Some were titled, The Very Magical Caterpillar, The Very Scary Caterpillar, The Very Rockin' Caterpillar... The best one was The Very Stubborn Caterpillar... I asked the little girl where she came up with that idea and she said... It's like writing about my life...I am stubborn!

5. After the whole class had turned in their completed math sheet, a student brought me hers to turn in and it was blank. I asked her why it was blank and she said..."Oh, we were supposed to write the answers down??? I kept them all in my head!"

It's Been A Year!

Some days it feels like it's been forever. Other days it seems like yesterday, that I started on this whole weight loss/healthy living lifestyle. Some days have been VERY difficult and others haven't phased me a bit. Some days I wanted a dozen doughnuts and some days a gala apple made me perfectly content.

Yesterday marked the 1 year point from when the whole journey began... even though I didn't really know it was starting til 3 weeks later when the bloodwork came back so bad. I will never forget that feeling I had when I was surrounded by people older than me and a lot less active, yet their blood was so much healthier than mine. It was so scary!!!

Here is a pic of me yesterday, proudly giving a vile of my blood. It just felt like it came out clean!!! The nurse told me she was honored to take a picture with me. I CANNOT WAIT til these results come back and I can report to you all the difference. 75 pounds gone has got to make it better!!!!

Turkey Surprise

Don't you love getting a surprise? I do... I especially love a thoughtful, no reason, just because prize. You know, the ones on a random day, not a holiday or birthday. If you have ever read the book The 5 Love Languages, I am definitely gifts. Again, not anything big, but thoughtful gifts... Like you were walking through the store and saw something that reminded you of me, so you got it kind of gifts.

Yesterday I got a prize from my mom. It was a no reason prize, and loved it!!! She stopped by the school for a lunch visit. I was so surprised to get it because I just said that I liked it Saturday while she and I were at the mall. She showed up with it and it made my day! Nothing like a mama to know how to make you feel special!

Support Your Kids

Last night I got to do one of the things that I absolutely love doing as a teacher. I went to support one of my kids at their ball game. Supporting your students outside of the school is just as important as what you do in the four walls of your classroom. It validates them and what they do, and at the same time it lets them know that you are interested in what they do. It builds the relationship with the family and encourages the lines of communication to remain open.

I must admit that it was a bit cold out last night, but it was so worth it. When I got there I tried to be inconspicuous so I would not cause them to lose their focus. I didn't make it half way to the other side of the field without hearing those words I had heard all day.....

Missssssssttttttttteeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr Dearyburyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course as a teacher it makes you feel proud to hear those words outside of the building because you know that you have made an impact and that is their excitement coming out. Hearing it a hundred times in the classroom is a whole different story.

I had fun tonight even though the team I went to see didn't win. The team member I went to see played great!!! 2 hits, one single and a double, and made it across home plate both times!!! You know I got a picture, but for their safety I can't post it. It will be hanging proudly on the wall in my classroom! Go Rebels!!!!!

Dinner @ Granny's House

Yesterday around 12:30 I got a text from my granny. Yes, I said a text... She is cool like that!

Anyway, the text said that dinner would be ready at 6:30. I was VERY shocked to get it, because usually family dinners are a big ordeal. You know, finding a date, time, who should bring what...that kind of thing. I had a class last night so I knew that I could not make it right at 6:30, but I texted her back and said I would be there as close to 7 as possible.

No worries about being on time. My family is ALWAYS late. I think I am the only one close to being punctual.

When I got the text, I immediately started thinking about all the good stuff it might be. It could be a baked ham...cubed steak with rice and gravy...maybe even some of her famous cocktail weenies that are only at Christmas. The one thing I wanted most of all though was pot roast, potatoes, and carrots.

I sneaked out of class a bit early and got there right at 7. I could smell it when I got out of the car. I was so excited because I KNEW it was pot roast. I got in and went straight to the kitchen. I saw her infamous pot roast pan and my the sweet aroma that was wafting up my nose was confirmed.

I was so FULL!!!!! Nothing like granny's cooking to fill you up! It was delicious.

The best part about it was that no one had died, there was no bad news, it wasn't even a holiday... It was just a good dinner with family for no reason other than that we love each other and wanted to be together! Thanks Granny!!

www.donorschoose.org

Many of you have read about Donor's Choose on here before. It is a website for teachers, where we can post proposals for items that we would like to have for our classrooms. Since 2005 I written lots of proposals and received almost $6,000 worth of materials. Below are pics of 2 of the projects that have been funded in the last 2 weeks. All the goodies arrived last week and it was like Christmas in my classroom.

The first pic shows books, animal classification cards and a animal science center. This was a project called, "Zoo to You."

The second pic shows a class set of 20 World Atlases to use in my maps unit. They are super nice.

If you would like to see my current projects online, waiting for funding, click the titles to see them:
May The Magnetic Force Be With You
Caption This

Any funding you can give, from 1 dollar to 10 dollars, or maybe even 100 goes straight into my classroom, and it is tax deductible.

It's More Than "Just A Box"

Today I was the guest speaker at a church in Greenville. Their entire service was dedicated to Operation Christmas Child, and their childrens' minister asked me to come deliver a message to motivate them to get in more shoe boxes. I was SOOOOO excited to do so, because next to teaching, OCC is my second love in life.

The title of my message this morning was "It was more than a manger...It's more than a box." It was a great message to challenge and inspire more boxes.

I compared the manger, a mere food trough, with no significant importance to everyday folks, to the shoebox filled with what seems to be insignificant toys.

The manger while simply a food trough, was filled with a tiny baby who brought joy, hope, and eternal life into our world. Although it seemed insignificant in its self, the manger became the birth bed of a Savior. It was so much more than a manger.

The shoebox, while seemingly just a box filled with "junky" toys, can bring joy, hope, and possibly eternal life to children all over the world... It's more than just a box!

If you don't pack shoeboxes for OCC, let me encourage you to find a box, fill it full of goodies, and turn it in to a local church who collects them. If you want to know more about how to do this, just ask me. I'll be happy to help!

Silly Saturday 5

Here are some things that made me laugh this week...

1. True kid quote... "My mama likes my daddy, but he won't marry her!"

2. As I am dressed like a hot dog, a kid runs up to me and says... "Um you are dressed like a hotdog." I am so glad he told me!!!!

3. Ho Ho Ho.... Happy Halloween!!! What a kid said as he passed me in the hall!

4. When a little girl walked out in the car line to leave it was raining... She stopped everyone, put her hands up as to command attention, and said... "People, Do you see it??? Can you believe it??? Right now it is PRECIPITATING!!!" We just finished our weather unit!

5. A kid who was literally flopping around on the floor all day looked up at me and said, "Am I being good today?"

6. Friday at lunch this kid started telling me about her clip on hand sanitizer that was hanging on her lunch box. She said "that if I got one that I could clip it on my man purse..." I told her I didn't have a man purse... She said, "well you have a bag with all your stuff in it... It's a man purse." I said nooooo, it's a bag with all my stuff.

7. Read the question and look at the response.

8. This little girl keeps bringing me coupons for healthy food, except they are not really coupons, just pics of food that she thinks I will like.

Happy Saturday!

Kiddie Kreations!

Last night my phone rang and it was my niece Taylor. She was all excited to tell me about a scarecrow that they made in her classroom at school. She was so excited about the school project that she came home her and Sophie started making one of their own. She called me because she said she needed a teacher's help. She said "Matt-Matt can come too because he is a teacher too!"

How could we say no??? We got there, and to our surprise, she did not need too much help. We did help her get the legs and head to be still. Check out the pics below. What a great night!
